FeNO Analyzer
Measurement of nitric oxide in exhaled air

Quick Information
FeNO Analyzer
FeNO (Fractional exhaled nitric oxide) is a gaseous marker of airway inflammation that can be accurately measured using a specialized device – the FeNO analyzer. Nitric oxide (NO) is produced in the lungs during allergic or eosinophilic inflammation – typical for asthma.
FeNO measurement represents a revolutionary method in the diagnosis and monitoring of asthma. It enables objective assessment of inflammatory activity in the airways and helps in personalized asthma treatment.
The examination is very simple, quick and non-invasive – the patient only slowly exhales into the device.
What is FeNO measurement used for?
Examination Preparation
The patient should not smoke, eat or drink at least 1 hour before the examination.
Normal Values
Normal FeNO values in adults are less than 25 ppb
How does the examination proceed?
The patient slowly exhales into the device mouthpiece after inhalation according to instructions
The examination takes only a few tens of seconds
The result is available immediately
Repeated measurement may be performed for more accurate results
Why is it important?
FeNO measurement is important for precise asthma treatment management and early detection of inflammatory activity in the airways.
